The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics approved the use of the international standard Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) for disseminating the metadata for micro-data related to official surveys. The support for this activity was delivered by DevStat. This specific activity was part of a comprehensive intervention on introducing and implementing standards on quality, processes and products delivered by key expert Mr Mogens Grosen Nielsen on behalf of DevStat. The standards included, among others, the UN National Quality Assurance Framework (NQAF); quality reports based on the SDMX standard; the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM); the Generic Activity Model for Statistical Organisations (GAMSO).
