The Contract Director and Key Expert on national statistical coordination, Mr José CERVERA-FERRI, carried out the first mission to Dhaka from 22nd January to 5th February 2021, which tool place despite the important travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemics. During the mission, meetings with the Director General, Deputy Director General and all the BBS Wing Directors, as well as with the Project Implementation Unit, were held to update the work programme and adapt the project to the restrictions for face-to-face activities. The second set of deliverables was discussed. The friendly environment and the excellent organisation by the PIU and the local partner IOE were key in the successful results of the mission.
